Scripture |
The call to mission (vv1-3a, 16) > In v2, we are the ‘few labourers’ sent by God into a world ‘ripe for God’s judgement’. How does this impact how you read and respond to this famous verse? How can you turn this to prayer?
The challenge of mission (vv3-4) > What things might hold you back from dependence on God in his call to mission? Ask him to reveal and break your dependence on anything but him. Share together for accountability and support.
The context of mission (vv5-9) > ‘Mission ... is an interpersonal encounter in which the gospel is proclaimed within the context of trusting relationships’ (James R. Edwards). How does this impact your view of mission? How might it be worked out in your life?
A consequence of mission (vv10-15)
